Our fish is sourced from ports across Britain as well as importing from Europe. We have an experienced team of buyers and salesmen who work through the early hours sourcing the best possible fish. The wholesale market opens at 2am with customers coming from far and wide to see what is available on a daily basis. The bustling market continues trading through the early hours, with most customers leaving with their fish by 7am. Coming to the wholesale market is a great way of seeing what a wide variety of fish is available. Smith Sagar specialises in prime fish and fresh fillets. We also import farmed fish such as Sea Bass and Sea Bream from Greece and Turkey and Turbot from Norway, ensuring year round supplies. If you are unable to come to the market we also offer a delivery service in our fleet of refrigerated vans.
